HOW WE HELP

Pre Release Guidance

We mentor at prisons
across TX. During the 6 months leading up to their out date, our goal is to pour into these men to make for a smoother transition. We also assist with parole packets and speak in support at parole board hearings.

Housing Program

Day 41 currently has two homes located in Harris & Waller county with a total of 35 beds: We are one of the few homes that accept GPS and Curfew monitors or opens our doors regardless of a man inability to pay. While we do not accept SO we will provide support and resources to assit them.

Discipleship

The current recidivism rate shows that 70% of men return to prison within 5 years. This emphasizes the importance of having a strong support network and one-on-one mentorship for their success. Our mentors not only helps the mentees make significant progress, but  mentors heal! in profound ways!

Skills Classes

Day 41 offers construction, carpentry classes in Waller to assist clients in obtaining on-the-job training or certification that will enable them to start a new career in a high-demand field and become financially independent.

Social Enterprise

We supplement giving through our business ventures, where residents receive hands-on training, while supporting our p Need a handyman? Carpenter? or landscaping/ lawn care- give us a call!

Family

The biggest differnce between us and other prison ministries in the Houston area is we  function as an extended family. We pool all our resources together. There are no staff; the house managers are residents themselves.

OUR MESSAGE

Christ Loves Convicts is more than a program. It’s a movement driven by a profound commitment to delve into the lives of individuals who find themselves at the most marginalized and forgotten corners of the American prison system. We are dedicated to unraveling the intricate web of experiences and challenges faced by those often overlooked in society, such as violent offenders grappling with their past actions, active and former gang members navigating a complex world of loyalty and survival, individuals enduring the harsh realities of solitary confinement, and those whose very identities are etched in ink, bearing the marks of a life scarred by hopelessness, addiction, and violence.

Our approach is rooted in the belief that every individual, regardless of their past or circumstances, deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in their journey towards redemption and rehabilitation. By embracing the people and parts of ourselves, we fear, we quickly discover that we need—and belong—to each other. And we stop throwing people away.

You see, we have been there; that’s why we are here. Every member On our frontline team was deemed unsavable, called institutionalized, and told that we would never survive in the free world. We felt unforgivable, unredeemable, and unlovable, but today, we know everything is possible because CHRIST LOVES CONVICTS!
